From the botanical birthplace of coffee comes this powerhouse of East African acidity. Extremely exotic blend of three coffees from Ethiopia in a light City roast. Alternating berry, citrus, and earth notes in a complex and shifting cup. Optionally, it makes a stunning pull of espresso!

    Red Sea Blend

I first ran into this coffee about four years ago at the W2 Roastery and immediately fell in love with it. It is a good all-around roast for espresso, drip, AeroPress, or whatever you like. If you’re olfactory lobe is in good working order you can sometimes catch the essence of salt air just before or after a fresh grind. Highly recommended as a part of your coffee collection.

    Red Sea Blend

This is an excellent, well balanced, fruity coffee that is roasted dark enough to work as a nice, savory black cup of coffee, or as something a little more complex. Even though I live in southern IL I’ve had the opportunity to visit this micro-roaster a couple of times and I really trust their knowledge and experience when it come to coffee. It’s taken me a couple of years to get around to finally trying this house-standard coffee/roast because I keep getting distracted with their latest and greatest coffees, many of which only come around once. Anyway, I like the Red Sea Blend enough that it’s going to become one of a very few of my go-to coffees, especially since it is a repeatable acquisition from the Walla Walla Roastery. Thank you ladies and gentlemen of the W2 Roastery.

Red Sea Blend is one of my favorite, and not because of the beautiful red bag!

    A superb blend

Red Sea is a medium roast so is full bodied but not bitter. It is very versatile in that I use it for my espresso latte every morning or for an Americano or for my drip coffee machine. I have it ground to #3 at Walla Walla Roastery and the same grind can be used for everything. I especially love the rich crema on top from the espresso machine.

I have no idea what coffees make up the Red Sea Blend but Walla Walla Roastery does a superb job roasting them and grinding them.
In my opinion, Red Sea Blend is the most balanced, best flavored coffee that I have ever tasted.
