    F-ing Amazing

I bought a 5lb bag of this coffee without ever trying it. I heard great things about it from friends. I live on the opposite side of the country and just HAD to have it for the Twin Peaks season 3 premiere! It's just as described. Smooth and smoky. I enjoy drinking this year round. Walla Walla did a perfect job on this blend, and I couldn't be happier!

Bought this as a huge twin peaks (and coffee) fan. It's a beautiful cup of coffee. Gifted it to myself for my birthday. Thanks for waking me up on a good start on my day!

Always looking for a small roaster with great coffee.
Big Ups to Kyle MacLachlan and The Walla Walla Roastery on this one. Super smooth cup. Agent Cooper would approve!

    damn fine? yes.

of course I bought this because Kyle Maclachlan had something to do with this but I still remained skeptical. I'm a bit of a coffee snob at the end of the day but anyway. normally, this household goes through many high end coffee distros and I have my favorites and ones that I avoid.
to start, I brewed this with a v60 at the following measurements for about 2 cups:
    water temp: 198f
water weight: 85g bloom. 600g total
    bean weight: 36.8
    bloom time: 45s
    total brew time: 3m10s

really, I can't find a single bitter note even if I over extract the coffee. the chocolate is there but is really hidden but altogether makes an amazingly smooth cup of coffee with no frills. a lot of coffee manufacturers try to blend a lot of this and that into their beans but forget about the true taste of coffee. this is pretty much that: the way coffee should taste. damn fine? I think so. in all honestly, I'd put this in my top three for beans. well done.
I also want to add the shipping was fast as hell. while our postal carrier (who is a terrible human being) did not do much to protect the beans from the elements, the beans inside were protected with the double layer bags (so thankful for that) because nothing says disaster like wet beans.

"Yes, it is indeed a damn fine roast."

Was so excited to receive this in the mail! Long time Kyle MacLachlan / Twin Peaks fan. This blend is delicious and robust, ever thing you want in a coffee. It brews up beautifully dark & rich with a heavenly aroma. Enjoyed black or with a little cream, incredible flavor will linger. I may or may not have said, "Wow, that's a damn fine cup of coffee" after taking my first sip.

    Fabulously rich and smokey.

I'm so glad I decided to try this blend as my first foray with Walla Walla, because it's downright heavenly! I've used it both for my usual morning pour-over (v60 with 25g beans to 430g water) and cold brew and it produces such a great cup with both. It's strong, smokey, and rich but smooth and so very flavorful. Even when I borked a brew and overextracted the other day, it was still pretty palatable so it's also pretty great to know that on the occasions I do mess up it's not going ruin my cup of coffee entirely.

This is definitely going to be a staple in my rotation of beans. Just wow!
