An ode to traditional Italian espresso with new world nuances. Our House Espresso is firmly rooted in the vein of classic Northern Italian Espresso and is ideally suited for rich and compact espresso cuisine. True to form its soft, chocolaty and sweet. Yet with coffees from Central and South America, Africa, and Indonesia it adds some new world complexity.
We are pleased to announce that our House Espresso won a Bronze Medal at the prestigious Golden Bean North America 2018 Roasters Competition in the "Milk Based Espresso" category.

Fantasitc Espresso!
I have been using over roasted, dark, oily espresso beans for 8 1/2 years, thinking that espresso was supposed to taste like a ground up cigar butt. This 'Full City'/medium dark roast is wonderful. The aroma and taste are complex and delicious! Walla Walla is now my go to source for espresso beans.

House Espresso
Fell in love when Cricket Flat Coffee in Elgin Oregon was serving this brand. Full body with no burned flavor. Very smooth.

Our Favorite Espresso Blend
The Walla Walla Roastery's House Espresso blend is our favorite "go to" coffee. We've been drinking it almost exclusively for about 6-months. We're brewing it as espresso in a La Marzocco Linea Mini, ground with a Eureka Atom. Walla Walla's Espresso blend always produces delicious, consistent shots with healthy crema, and no channeling (so long as we can get through our 5lb bag in a decent amount of time). Once it's dialed in at the start of a new bag, it only takes very minor adjustments in grind to consistently get our target extraction ratio and timing throughout the entire bag (1:1.5, or 20g of coffee to produce 30g of espresso over the course of a 30-second extraction). Their pricing is also very competitive, about 30% less for a 5lb bag than other 3rd wave regional roasters we've used. I always request that they ship our 5lb bag when it's been fresh-roasted, and it always ships out the same day, or day after being roasted. With shipping times, that means we usually get it 1-3 days after it's roasted, and in our family, a 5lb bag lasts 2-3 weeks. I'm thrilled to have found such a good, regional source for our favorite coffee.

House Espresso
So glad I bought a five-pound bag! This coffee is delicious. Very rich and flavorful; just what I was looking for after having invested in a Breville espresso machine. Goodbye Starbucks! Thank you, Walla Walla Roastery!!

daily mochas
We grind our beans every day to make mochas. We recently switched to these beans and love them. They brew a really creamy shot of coffee and the taste is very smooth and mild which we really like.

House Espresso whole bean
I discovered Walla Walla roastery a long time ago and as soon as I got my own espresso machine I have been ordering House Espresso whole bean from them ever since even after moving out of the area. They never fail to deliver quality beans and a great tasting espresso shot!
