Las Delicias Estate is situated on the Apaneca-Ilamatepeq mountain range in the Atiquizaya province, department of Ahuachapán. The soil of the farm is volcanic rendering it ideal for growing coffee. Las Delicias obtained the Rain Forest Alliance certification in 2003. This seal requires that the farm protect the ecosystem, encompassing wild life and native forest, as well as the eco-friendly managing of the coffee plantation. Wild life is abundant with native species and migratory birds enjoying the variety native and Inga trees that provide a protective shade canopy. The result of these practices is a healthy coffee plantation, with an excellent cup and a good production.
